Wednesday 5th October – walk *** – Felixstowe Prom – sunny start then clouded over with light rain and breezy

Hoped to go windsurfing today but after getting a blood shoot eye sailing yesterday for the second time in a week, I decided to get my blood pressure checked and was lucky enough to get in at our doctors, top ringing by Maggie:) I discovered my blood pressure is a little high so decided to err on the side of caution and give today a miss and save myself for a Birthday session tomorrow! After leaving the doctors I walked to the cliff top to look at the sea, it looked lovely especially being mild, sunny and breezy I went home for Mag to go for a walk. We headed down to the prom and were blown vey quickly all the way to Jacobs Ladder, stopping to watch a hovering kestrel in the spa gardens, it did dive down and catch what looked like a lizard but dropped it! It was more of a challenge to walk back into a head wind with some dark clouds approaching, luckily the rain did not arrive until late afternoon. The 40 knot gusts did not make it to Felixstowe with the wind being between 20 and 30 knots, still enough to sand blast your legs on the way back so we left the pom and finished the walk along the cliff top:)
